Theale Fisheries (Island Lake) is the largest water on this page, an 80-acre gravel pit and river venue holding carp, with day ticket or syndicate access. Reading also has a run of RDAA waters sharing similar ground: The Big Pit / Theale Lagoon, Englefield Lagoon, Farnham Flint Lake, Whites Lake, Junction Lake and Collins Lake are all river, canal and gravel pit fisheries carrying pike, trout, carp, tench, bream, roach and perch, with keepnets allowed but bivvies not, and each fished as a single swim.
Southlake Lake, run by Southlake AS, is a different proposition — three lakes holding carp, pike and barbel, with an on-site tackle shop and no bait boats permitted.
This page lists 18 fishing lakes covering Reading. Carp and pike are the two species turning up most often across the listings, so anyone after either has plenty of named waters here to choose between.
